Celeste Alexander is a Chicago native who is a pioneering force in the world of house music. Known for her soulful and inspirational sets, she became one of the first female DJs to play at top Chicago nightclubs like The Warehouse. With influences like Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles, Celeste’s eclectic mixes span house, disco, jazz, and soul. A mentor to young female DJs and a founding member of the “Queens of House” collective, she continues to inspire with her radio show “Celestial Grooves” and performances at major festivals worldwide. Celeste’s legacy is celebrated with numerous awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Chicago House Music Association.
